Secrets in the Gloom


The forsaken tombstones stood motionless, their scarred inscriptions barely legible beneath the thick cloak of ebon. A chilling silence hung in the air, broken only by the rustle of the wind through the weathered branches of the ancient trees. Here lay a mystery, waiting to be revealed. His features were eerily familiar/identical to mine/strikingly similar. For a moment, time seemed to freeze/halt/stand still. Was it just the lighting/fog/atmosphere playing tricks on my eyes, or was I truly facing/looking at/seeing my own reflection?

You never know what lurks in the darkness/might be on the other end/could be waiting.

The Phantom in My Gaze



Every time I peer into the surface, a shiver races down my spine. Is it just my imagination playing tricks on me, or is there truly something lurking in the depths of my own reflection?
